This
hard top available for
2011-2017 Jeep Wrangler 4 door. By adding a thick insulating layer to the inside of your hardtop, you can keep interior temperatures down in the summer and up in the winter.
The picture instructions are included for both the
2 door and 4 door Jeep Wrangler. Simple installation. Clean the mounting areas with rubbing alcohol (not included), remove the backing from the mounting tape and press into place. It removed the sound bar from the 4 door to more easily reach the front corners of the middle section, however I probably could have gotten to them without removing the bar.
The headliner really does make a difference in the controlling the temperature inside the jeep. It also helped with damping the outside road noise. Plus it makes the inside of the
jeep hard top look more finished.
Reviews
For
2014 Jeep Wrangler unlimited very nice to help insulate it during the winter. I researched several options and decided to go with this one based on the price and style. It was quite easy to install. I recommend taking the top off and doing it, but I know others who have done it with the top on. In addition to what was provided, I used an adhesive spray just to make sure it stuck. The product works great. It has stuck to the top well. I did notice an improvement in the insulation and sound quality. It's one of those things I wish would come standard in the
jeep wrangler 4 door.
For
2015 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited it’s very good. I had not seen a review where people put dynamat under the headliner, but I thought I would give it a shot. Once I got the mat and the headliner from
Jeep wrangler hard top online, I took off my front hard top pieces. I used the headliner as a template for the sound mat and cut it out easily using EMT shears.
It was very easy to work with. I then applied the mat and smoothed it out. It stuck without any issues. I pulled the tape off and applied the headliner on top. It fits perfect and there is a very noticeable difference in the level of noise in the cab. Did the same in the back and sides of the
hard top and it worked very well. If you get this, it does look factory but If concerned about noise, then definitely consider getting a sound mat to install underneath it. Visit here:
